Kedves Mindenki!
Alább egy felhívást teszünk közzé, amit a USC (University of Southern California) egyik alumni hallgatójától kaptunk. A részleteket lent olvashatjátok!
Tehát a felhívás:
Dear Student,
Are you interested in meeting your peers from the United States, while they are visiting Budapest, Hungary? Are you interested in expanding your network, making friends, while having fun and educating others about your culture and traditions?
If you answered yes to any or all of the questions above, please apply to host one of the undergraduate students from the University of Southern California (Marshall School of Business), who are visiting Budapest, Hungary from March 13th-22nd, 2010. Hosting in this case does not mean having to spend all 10 days with your match or having to offer your home. Students are staying in a hotel in Budapest and have a fairly busy schedule, meeting with business and government executives. However, they are interested in meeting their peers and learn first-hand from you what it’s like to live thousands of miles away. So even if you can only meet them for a quick cup of coffee or lunch, it would be a very enriching experience for them, and we would highly encourage you to sign up at www.triptrotting.com. You will then be matched to a traveler that is most compatible for you!
Do not miss out on this great opportunity to meet your peers from one of the top business schools in the United States, to tell them about your culture and traditions and expand your network!
What does it mean to be a host?
* You can choose what you want to do with your match!
* Being a host could mean anything from just having a cup of coffee with the student to inviting him/her for a dinner at your house or even spending several days showing the students around
* Being a host does not mean that you need to offer your house to the students to stay (all the students will be staying at a hotel during the trip), nor does it means you needs to spend ALL 10 days with the student – the schedule is very flexible and can be discussed with your traveler once you are matched
We encourage hosts and students to spend as much time together as possible because that would definitely lead to a better intercultural experience, but ultimately, they have to decide on how much free time they have to spend together.
Thank you!
Triptrotting Team
ABOUT TRIPTROTTING
Triptrotting is a global social community of diverse world travelers and hosts (aka "Triptrotters"), who are matched together based on similar interests. Our goal is to create a platform which helps avid travelers locate compatible local hosts and provide opportunities for hosts to make friends from all corners of the world. We want to give both Triptrotters an amazing cultural and personal experience.
By signing up for the Triptrotting community and becoming a Triptrotter, each member is taking a step towards bridging the gaps created by our cross-cultural differences through personal interaction with people from other cultures. We are looking for travelers and hosts who are willing to go "outside the box" and above the tour books to embrace what makes everyone unique.
MISSION
Connect people with similar interests from different corners of the world, who otherwise would have never met each other.
